This weekend we joined Dan on his company retreat. It was a come to nature experience! We realized here in Beijing, in our concrete jungle, we have little to no contact with nature. There is little grass and no natural water source. With the blue skies weekend, it was great to be up in the hills on a lake away from the city.

| Bottom up |
The fact we've gone so long without enjoying the great outdoors, really brought it home how much we miss it and how important it is to our sanity! It even inspired me to look up some quotes on nature. Here are a few I really like:
"Whoever loves and understands a garden will find contentment within."
-Chinese Proverb
Tate has been saying, "I want to plant a garden," since we've been home from the States. Uncle Nate's garden really inspired him.
"And this our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones and good in everything."
-William Shakespeare
"Adapt to the pace of nature: her secret is patience."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
